MESSAGE FROM STEVE and SHERRY:
Our last presentation was a culmination of everything
we have experienced while traveling cross county.
Attendees included volunteers and staff from Hospice,
Stephens Ministries, grieving survivors, therapists,
clergy, community members and some who have
experienced depression and thoughts of suicide
themselves. Discussion touched on many aspects of
warning signs, what to do, where to go and we
appreciated the support of a therapist who was in
attendance. One woman said that "Jay" was her son
too. Another woman said that she was "Jay" and had
been to the point of taking her life. A sign up sheet
was circulated for a follow up meeting to work
together in the community for depression and suicide
prevention awareness.
