Day 2 - 09/07/00 Reno, NV to Elko, NV MESSAGE FROM STEVE and SHERRY: Spoke with a young woman on the at a gas stop who's boyfriend had taken his life at 19 and was an excellent actor, always upbeat and helping others. It was good to hear she had attended a survivors group for support. Woman in her 40's came to us looking for help for her brother going through a divorce and he will only confide in her. She will seek professional help now that she knows she can turn to her local suicide prevention agency or crisis center. Met an older couple (older than us) with two guests from France with a lot of questions and the U.S. couple were concerned about their grandson. Suicide in Europe is also very high and one of the ladies from France who is a pharmacist lost a 19 and 23 year old relatives, both boys.
